Just taking time to expand a little on what others have said, as I am realatively new to the game again, but am enthusiastic about it. This is because I have found that almost everything in the game actually has an effective counter. -HI and TAGs look optimal from the outside, but they are also vulnerable to hackers, ADHL from a link team, TO sniper ambush that catches them while crossing between cover, special ammo like AP EXP or K1, and attacking their order pool. -Airborne deployment is dangerous, but can be hacked and dealt with using good lanes of fire and supporting set-up of troops -Airborne infiltration can be mitigated with minelayers and mining the board edges -TO camo/mimetism/ODD modifiers are dealt with via multispectral visors -It doesn't matter how big your dice pool is to shoot a figure is if your LOS is blocked by zero-v smoke -large link teams are vulnerable to flamethowers -everyone is vulnerable to being shot in the face enough times, so being set-up in a low cover table half can get you killed
I the end many things that look overly-powerful have an achilles heels, if the right equipment and skills are used against them.

Well I brought up infinity at the dojo a week ago, and for sure one person had interest and he said he maybe had 2 others who wanted to play, also a friend of mine keeps a full haqq army in their basement. So when I have a army and a few games in, I might make terrian for the dojo to keep there and do demo games there for people if interest pops up. Like on Thursdays I may set up a table with terrian and two armies with a sign saying ask for a demo, and if I don't have a oppenents to play, I will play malifaux or warmachine in the mean time.

I've got some strips of mdf. I can probably throw together some collapsable buildings. Nothing fancy but they'll block Los.

I did not get to start infinity yet, but waiting on the 2 player starter box and a complete read of the 3rd edition rules, so I don't get them confused with 2nd edition rules. I also picked up xwing in the mean time..... Damn it's addicting.

If you're anything at all resembling a star wars fan, you'll love XWing.
The fact that the designers got to tour lucasfilm/ILM and use the original models to measure and create the miniatures so they are exactly to scale with one another is just awesome.
Game's fun to play too.

Game is fun, and simple and balanced rule set. Started 3 weeks ago, and I placed in the top 8 at the regionals this weekend at the dice dojo. Really liking it. But i still like painting and moving around little toy soldiers.

Eh, the only imbalance is the Tie swarms that seem to be prevelant.
That being said, it's a game I play for the fun of it, and not competitively. I think I'd enjoy it less trying to play cut-throat.

Pretty hard to make the game cut throat. But the game seems to be getting away from tie swarms being a dominate force. Phantoms, high ps skills, and new upgrades, is making the game a little more Rock Paper Scissors with the ability that a lucky or skillful rock could still beat paper. Still trying to look for a ninja shopper at gencon for the infinity stuff. Shipping sucks
