Hello all,
I'm wanting to get into infinity and want an idea of what faction everyone is playing in the area. I really like the models for pano but don't really want to start a faction that everyone plays lol (like space marines in 40k or Cygnar and cryx for warmachine.)
Also, seems that draxstar is the most convenient place to play, do you guys gather often to play and where?

Welcome to our forum, there is a fairly good mix of factions that people play.
I myself have a little bit of everything except for combined army.
We usually try to get together on the first weekend of the month, but right now is a busy time as we are getting ready for adepticon, where there will be infinity events every day. As well as demos and space to play pick up games.
I know there is a sizeable portion of the group that is close to draxtar, there are also players that are closer to games plus, as well as a sizeable group that plays at leisure hours in Joliet.
I myself am kind of in the middle I live in Lisle and work in Wheaton.

There's a Tournament at Draxtar this Saturday if you want to check it out. Starting around 12:30.
As far as factions, this game is not what you play, but how you play. The forces are very balanced but still different from each other. You can pretty much play based on what looks coolest to you.

Welcome to Infinity!
Definitely stop by Adepticon. Easiest place to pick up demos, and of course, play games.
JP's right--there's no one "dominant" faction in the local area. In fact, Infinity's geared so that it's easy to pick up another faction inexpensively, so it's not uncommon to see people start branching out from their main faction. I'm close to Draxtar as well. Though I'm not sure I'll be going there much. The group has a monthly Infinity day at Games Plus most months that aren't prep for Adepticon.
