CB announced that they are moving to 55mm bases for many of the previously built 40mm models.
There is much gnashing of teeth and waving of pitchforks.
I wonder if that was the "big news" that we were supposed to be given in April by CB?

I'm ok with them standardizing base size
Li, wb, sk, and mi on 25 Hi and remotes in 40 Tags and bikes on 55.

All the remotes with "base extenders" are also on 55mm bases now.
The big grief (and which I can understand) are folks who have scenic bases that are now going to be incorrect.
I can see both sides. Really doesn't bother me all that much.

All I care about is whether or not 55mm bases are going to fit into the current remote sized slots in battlefoam trays.
I have a feeling they won't which will be pretty annoying.

I like it as all of the remote basses were to small and short term it may be a bit of a pain as other companies do not have things made for 55mm but long term I think it is for the betterment of the game and will make it much better a year or two from now I bet we will look back and go remember those base extensions that were a huge pain.
Then again I already have my scareface on a much larger base.

They just said lath models like Ajax and Tarik. I wouldn't mind if they all were to convey a larger sense of scale than a normal human. I don't mind models that models in power armor may not fit through normal sized doors and on small catwalks.

It also isn't all remotes that are changing to 55mm bases. Only the larger/specialty remotes that are changing. Another thing to note is that this is NOT mandatory for this season of ITS. Whether it will in the future is to be determined.

I don't have a problem with this idea. But, given that a lot of hi didn't look like they would fit right on an upgraded base, i was wondering what was up. Glad there is more info.

Also, the TAG on an 80mm base will retain its 80mm base size.

ya one thing about infinity and ITS I don't think they have ever had a requiered base size for any mini so I think you could even put the new bikers on 40K type bike basses if you wanted and they fit.
