Draxtar in Batavia is having a one year anniversary sale. I was told Infinity will be on sale 25-35% off.

Their forums say infinity is 30% off. I was thinking of getting a bunch of stuff online this week, or wait for a sale online and save even more. 30% plus sales tax is about equal to current online prices of the online stores I usually shop at. So maybe if I have time I will take the drive and check them out. Wish I coulda checked out some infinity at adepticon this year to get a better grasp on the scale of tags and the rest of the minis. cause I can't really rember for watching my friend Miljan play at adepticon 2 years ago.

Not sure if I'll be able to get there to buy anything. Especially since we are doing an Escalation League game at G+ that day.

TAGs are larger than your standard minis, but usually not amazingly so. (Some tags are taller than others).
It's a true-scale miniatures line, so scale won't be as much of an issue.

I heard this game was very cheap to get into, but my shopping cart online was adding up fast, and it seems tags are a little over priced to me for something that is not even twice as tall as 2 line troopers.

They're way bigger than a standard trooper. I don't have a good comparison shot on my phone though.

A tournament army for 40k is ~$500.00+. Hell. A box of troops (marines, etc) is what, $50.00 now? You have to pay for the rules ($85 now?) plus codex ($50, not including "supplemental codices at $40 each).
A starter box for WM/H is $50.00. Gives you on average 4 models. (1 heavy jack, 2 light jacks, warcaster). However, a tournament army for WM/H will easily set you back $250-$350 (at 50 pts). You have to pay for the main rules ($35?) and do not need the army books.
A starter box for Malifaux is (2nd ed) ~ $40-$50. You need the rulebook ($25-30?)
A starter box for WWX is $70.00. You need some kind of rulebook for the full rules ($60 for the hardcover, or $130.00 for the 2 player starter--definitely the better value)
A starter box for Infinity is ~$40-$50. Enough to get you playing in an escalation league quickly. Rules and stats for all models are free downloadable PDF's, and there are free army creation apps and programs.
When I started Infinity in 2012 (literally about 3 weeks before the 2012 Adepticon tournament) I put together a 200pt force for ~$100.00 (online shopping) using no starter boxes (where you get the best price break per # of models.) They did go through a smallish price hike since then. Not much. But price also fluctuates based on how well the dollar is doing vs. the Euro.
You only need around 10 models for a decent sized 300pt force. The only time I've seen more than 1 tag used in a force was when I fielded 2 geckos (and they come two to a box). At the 400pt Adepticon tournament, I only used 1 tag.
Infinity does have the same problem as WM/H--where it's easy to keep adding to your collection until you've spent a ton of money. Just a few models can completely change the style of play.
Unlike GW, Infinity models are priced based on cost of material, not in-game value.

There's a new batrep on the miniwargamming channel on youtube. Both of them are using a TAG so you can see them compared to others and what they can do.

Might not be a bad idea to see what's in the two player box. I've heard it may contain the new alguiciles.

I was going to grab all the toha stuff, but then decided with haqq stuff. I need to come up with a color scheme for them now.
