Well they released the new profiles for the Kazak Spetsnazs and Interventors with Fast Pandas. Spetsnazs: Mov: 4-4 CC: 20 BS: 12 PH: 12 WIP: 13 ARM: 2 BTS: 0 W: 1 Has Marksmanship L2 and Martial Arts L2 with 4 different profiles. Either an HMG or Sniper Rifle with the new skill CH:Ambushed Camouflage or Boarding Shotgun+Grenads or Rifle+Grenades with skils CH:Mimetism and AD: Parachutist And all I really have to say about Fast Pandas is that they are kind of like a mix between a deployable repeater and a marker. New ProfilesNew Rules

holy crap. 20" move on the pandas???
Ouch.
Though, I have to say---trying to move 20" without drawing an aro will be very difficult.

Nah, it's an 8" move and only the Interventor will trigger the ARO

20cm. Eight inches. It's clarified in the rules. The example is pretty funny.
The spetznatz is cool.

Ah, that's better all around.

So--if koala's can generate an ARO response--how do Panda's get exempt status? Not that I'm going to mind much if they don't...

Pandas are more like a mine. Once deployed they don't move

I don't get it. This robot panda about the size of a human just comes out of the Interventor's pocket to be deployed? I'm guessing you assume the panda is staying base to base with him until it is deployed. I'm not sure if it's worth it. If I happen to have two points I guess I would take it.

Enemies can react in ARO to the declaration in an Active Turn of the Short Skill Deploy FastPanda, but only against the figure activated by the Order and not against the FastPanda itself, which cannot be reacted to.
So you can shoot the Interventor if you can see them but not the Panda

But when it's their turn can the fast panda be targeted?

Okay, had a chance to read the rules at lunch. Not so very "Fast," Panda... Weird, it's like a late game "minelayer" ability to deploy the Panda. Which necessitates getting your interventor to move up the board (usually not a good thing) to get the panda into a better deployable place to have an impact. Unless you're just trying to blanket the board in repeaters. Seems like tomcat with deployable repeaters would stand you in a better place. Of course, tomcat's are not 2 pts. So I think I agree with Brian. A spare 2pts? sure, why not? But not something (unless the Tunguska sectorial changes things) I'm going to definitively squeeze in a list as a "must have." Though if I do, I think the Pandas, upon deployment short attack skill, should make the transformers sound effect.

They can be attacked yes.
Agreed on the transformers sound effect

The size of the panda makes not sense to me visually. It almost seems like the panda should be switched with the crazykola.

It's really no different than the zondcat in size.
Of course, I think it should be acting like a zondcat/zondbot instead of how it is, but that's another conversation entirely.
