I call shenanigans on this box set. Three models I already have.

Ya a lot are saying that. Some even have multiple already of those figs. Also the box set is expensive pts! Those three figs are 164pts alone! I understand there's limited troops in Neoterra and they are probably going to do new Fusiliers soon but they could have at least done a basic multi-rifle Swiss and combi-rifle/hacker Hexa.

People are also annoyed at the combi rifle / light shotgun which as a Haqq player makes me laugh.
Aren't most PanO models expensive though? Given their generally shiny toys.

And higher BS. I've heard these guys might either all have engineer or will have a few options of them. I'm guessing these guys will be around 20pts. ea.

Oh, that's interesting, kind of. I'm betting they're going to be switching around the AVA of that sectoral away from Total Auxilia. Also, gotta love the artificial points inflation of the LSG, though maybe CB will hotfix shotguns in the next book to make them somewhat worthwhile to use.
Now just to wait for the Svalarheima sectoral and to see what sort of LI they end up with... And yes, I'm well aware that they could just as easily choose the water world instead (with their Cutters, Croc Men, and Kamau) if they don't do two sectorals for each army in the next book.

Light shotguns only have two potential uses: combat after you've been hit by an e/m weapon, or getting a good backshot where the template can catch more targets.
Though I've yet to use the shottie on my hellcats. Combirifles remain the better go-to option.

One bonus these Bolts have over other PanO shottie-taxed units (aside from Croc Men) is that they'll probably be 4-4 move. Base Bagh Mari, Nisses, and Swiss Guards all are 4-2 and thus far less likely to get much benefit out of a shotgun except maybe in ARO against a Fireteam that is moved poorly enough such that they all move through the AoE at some point.
I also didn't exactly consider the E/M backup weapon, especially since I rarely ever see such weapons used. I mean, monofillament is so much more enticing on the Sierra, and it's very niche on an Aquila Guard when you could instead use him as a Lieutenant.

Light shotguns are better with the regular rifle, not the Combi. It works great for ghulam because when at short range you would use the shotgun instead of the rifle. It's redundant on a Combi.

I consider my Ghulam needing to use it's shotgun as a failure to plan properly.
I'll put it this way, Naffatuns are 12 pts for a HFT. Ghulams get a light shotgun for 14 pts.

I can understand that but I'm saying they have the option, if they are in close range where the rife is mod of 0, they could use the +3 of the shotgun instead. With a combi, both have +3 at close range 0-8, both are Dmg 13, and the lt. shotgun has 1 less burst! Unless you just happen to have guys lined up for the template, it's not worth it.
