I had fun with it even if I did not last that long. The whole having to not have a cube was a bit anoying but not that big of a deal, though you are almost just telling everyone to take a mayub or somthing else that does not have a cube. Maybe put in if you play a spec ops from the faction you played mainly over the weekend you get to remove your cube for free. I like the idea of entering from differnt points maybe even just have a longer ship with people coming in from different sides and have teams going at the same time from different sides. It did stink a bit not having any orders at all after being doctored up. I think a good compromise would be either you just get 2 orders to do something or go somewhere so you have a chance or maybe half your orders rounded down. I did like the team things to maybe next year have an individual winner and a team winner to for specs ops with more of a support role. I was their a good amount of the weekend but not all of it my sugestion would maybe be to run it Sat night as I think it could be a fun Sat night drink and play game sat night. That would be cramming alot into the weekend though. Just some of my thoughts on thing for next year I hope they help. Rob I didn't realize until we did the primer for this how devastating the cubes were going to be. There was only supposed to be 10 on the table at a time. We didn't get the full amount, that coupled with players not getting as much Xp as I thought they'd get meant I had to put everyone on the one table. I guess I didn't make it clear you didn't have to play a specops from any army you played during the weekend. I wanted this on Sunday so players could play Friday after the tourney to build up their character. I thinking next year the schedule would be a tourney and a big game each day.

Ya but if everyone could just choose a spec op, they would all be muyibs or thorakitai. Why not start out with a character who already comes with a Panzerfaust, D-Charges, or Nanopulsar and don't need to spend xp on it?

It's not my fault those specops are better.

There are more options than Muyibs and Thorakitae.
There are actually a fair number of options that do not involve cubes (Ariadna, Muyibs, Keisotsu, Aguaciles, etc).
Thor's 4-2 move was actually a liability in some cases.
I played a Muyib, and did not use any of the "stock" equipment. Mostly, I wanted to try out the idea of a CC: 25 model for chuckles. But the Avatar had the last giggle in that regard.

I know you did not have to play the same spec ops as your army I was just sugesting that next year maybe provide some incentive to play a spec ops from the faction you were playing so you don't have most everyone going well their is not much of a reason to play anything other than spec ops X or everyone looking at other players going why do you still have a cube or why are you not playing spec ops X. Maybe somthing like double XP for games you played with that faction spec ops or free cube removal or something like that just an idea though. I do like the idea of a big game of some sort each night next year as well.

I think the idea I heard on grouping that I liked best was mini-teams of 3 and a team score. Not that anyone built wrong or anything, but I think it lets people build sole support and still feel involved when their team does well.
