How about a Titanfall type game? Never played the video game but I see mechs dropping in and people jumping into them. I could see something done like that. Maybe do a set of objectives or randomly a TAG could drop in and the players can fight for it or something.

That idea may have a tie into #2 the TAG game
As far as "capsules versus clowns" Paraphrased ideas from what I ran at Egyptian Campaign that looked like they might work 1) Terrain appears 6" at a time at the front edge of the board 2) Every so many player turns the terrain is moved 6" toward the back edge of the board 3) Board size for the E-Campaign event was 4' long x 4' wide playing surface with an extra 6" gutter for terrain at each end. Size for the Infinity event is TBD 4) Players scored points per round (full number of player turns) based on board position from the back edge -first 24" = 1 -next 12" = 2 -last 12" = 3 5) Bikes had multiple structure points, drivers had multiple wounds 6) Firing was in arcs 7) Damage to bike structure prior destruction degraded the bike's movement 8) Damage to rider wounds prior to death degraded pilot skill (for infinity probably Physical), which was used to make higher difficulty maneuvers 9) Players had a set number of many actions they could spend each round, 1 per turn to maneuver or shoot (hopefully this will be easy to adapt to an infinity order pool concept) 10) Movement was based on a template -harder turns would typically get you out of the way of oncoming terrain or bikers -certain turns had and associated jink value (an automatic dodge or modifier) -again, structure degraded movement, so a given move on the template was broken by hash marks of how much each level of damage took off 11) Hitting terrain caused more damage than a single gunshot, so bumping people into the path of oncoming terrain was common

I like the idea of tags falling from the sky but I'd be afraid it would turn into first to a tag wins. How about everyone starts with a made up HI. Then after turn 2 the tags all drop to predetermined locations and potentially scatter. The tags would all be different but at least everyone could get to one. If you get to a tag all of your remaining orders are spent "suiting up". That way even if someone gets a tag early the rest of the players could feasibly get one turn without getting tag stomped. There should be a couple classes of tags ranging from gecko to Jotum.

Yeah I like that. The TAGs could also be in large buildings and maybe need to be discovered or something. What do you guys think of hackable terrain like gates/doors, turrets, and/or remotes? Has this been done already? How about a Titanfall type game? Never played the video game but I see mechs dropping in and people jumping into them. I could see something done like that. I've always had the urge to recreate the center area of Woodfield Mall for Infinity. That plus zombies? Hell yeah.
Of course, which army could comprise the DMS is a complete mystery...

Expanding on mark's comment. I've always wanted to have a 'high priority mission' kind of game. One that did hacking a bit like shadowrun. Typical local rules for hacking applies in the battlespace. But, beginning of each side's turn is phase that uses hacking from command assets from outside the field.
Dice for command assets is based on 'signal strength'; the number of hackers remaining on the board for a given side. The number of spec ops hackers in this year's big game made me think this was viable.
Command asset hacking allows for normal hacking effects along with effects in the local environment. Suh as: immediately open/close doors, take a shot with a sentry gun, move/attack with a drone from the local installation, attempt to hack an HI or TAG, kill a unconcious hacker, turn off gravity in a section, open an airlock door, generate sensor noise (effectively allowing a figure to pick up holoprojector 2, inferior cam, camo marker, or similar) also speeding a 'command asset' dice allows other side to make an face to face against one of these items.

Added a big list onto the CAD Board thread: chicagolandinfinity.proboards.com/thread/6/terrain-feed-forward-aheadMoondoggy and I talked on some modular board ideas for capsules vs clowns to make it can switched around for different scenarios. Also, in the mindset of strike while the idea is hot, I did order the Walrus. If nothing else, it gives us a future variant to play if the scenario is a well recieved.

I like alot of the ideas so far was jsut thinking of another big game idea possibly. My intial thought for the name would be Dead mans land. Have 2 people play long ways on a 6'x 4' board or even an 8'x 4' board with limited terain. Lift the SWC restion for the game so people can bring as many sniper rifles missle launches ect to the game as they want and be able to try and take some truely long range shots maybe make a special prize for longest range kill. have maybe multiple tage trying to cross the battle field. have it be a true dead mans land in the middle with people fiering back and forth over a large fairly open area with lots of sniper points and the such on either side of the board. with 48" of space between the starting armies it could make for some very fun and interesting ARO and fire between Sniper rifles HMGS and rocket launchers.

And now to wait until the old Kum bikes go on clearance across the land.
Looking at them I don't think it would be hard to put a front wheel on them or add a flight stand and make them jet bikes.

ya I dont think you would need to do much more than leave off the single wheel to make them a jet bike
