Hm I kind of want to find/make a skull throne for the Circle of death. Just have it sit in the middle completely out of place.

Scadugenga won with Turlsk in second and Jp in third.
Lifeblood sucks and so does the circle of death board.

I thought lifeblood was okay. I think we should get rid of table quarters because it seems like a lazy choice that is very 40k-ish. I think we can do better for missions.
I also hated the "painted armies give you one classified mission objective point". It fundamentally changes the game because you build your army differently if you need fewer types of specialists in order to be successful. I think we should instead simply award one objective point per round to people with painted armies and let them try to get the classifieds too. That way you get a reward for painting and a reward for doing the classifieds.
Circle of Death sucks mightily.

Circle of Death doesn't even give you the courtesy reach around....

And I have to agree with Jerimy. The bonus painted negated the need for classified objectives in two thirds of the missions. If the Geckos were fully painted, I wouldn't have used a single specialist (save the defensive hacker for the tags) for Quadrant Control, which would've left more point/swc for goodies.

The additional point for being painted has been tried and that actually does more damage. It was used at a con on the east coast and caused issues with the winner winning only because his army was painted. The extra point equates to 10% per round of scoring that another opponent has no option of getting. The point was to make it easier to do missions because the effort was put in to painting ahead of time.
You are right that if your army is painted you can construct it differently, forgoing some specialists. That was the point. It's the reward for painting without fundamentally fudging up ITS scoring Every classified objective uses the same specialists that can be used to complete the regular missions, so you still are compelled to take as many specialists but maybe not as much variety.
If there is a better option to encourage painted armies with out draconian unpainted = no play measures I'm open to suggestions.
Having painted armies can only help to promote the game and the group.

maybe some sort of prize for bigger tourneys that goes along with best painted. For us localy maybe just much ridicule and harasment until your stuff is painted. Or free drinks for the best painted something like that.
