2014 Escalation League

We will start the league on June 1st and it will run until December 31st.

Each round will be one month.

Only one game per round will count for scoring and this must be decided before the game is played.

Games are to be reported on this thread and it would be appreciated if one player writes up a short battle report.

Nothing fancy either a generic turn by turn, read like a stereo instruction manual or some action packed narrative describing the action.

Players must stick to one faction throughout, although playing that factions sectorals are allowed. Merc companies will be allowed but you must use the same three factions throughout the league.

Please put results in the "league results go here" topic. Include the date opponent and a battle report of some sort.

Starting July first please tally your painted figs used in that months event. Whichever player posts the results please include your opponents painted fig totals

By base size

25mm 1point
40mm. 2 points
55mm or larger (TAG). 3 points
Each Story based Battle Report is worth 5 points.

We will be using the missions HERE       With the final two missionsTBD, we may use some hot Dire Foes action for those.


I will update this post with scores and rankings at the end of each month.

This will not be reported as an ITS event, 'cuz then you couldn't pick who you play after the first round.

I was thinking of making up some merc lists to use in friendly games would it be ok if I made up a merc list for the league instead of a faction?

Personally I don't care cuz it's just for fun. I think you at least have to stick to the same three factions throughout.

Ya I would make one Merc list and stick to it I have three I am thinking of right now the First would be Moondoggys Trucking I think I would make it PanO Adriana and Nomads

The second would be Northwestern Trucking though I may just make this my PanO based off of the Northwestern on Deadliest catch

The last one would be the cherry bombs a list of all ladies right now I am thinking Alaph Haq and I am not sure what I would make the third.

How do you guys want to do link teams in the scenarios that don't require a Lt.?

You can always start with a link but if you don't bring a lt you can't reform one ?

Or

No link teams in the missions not requiring a lt.

I say the first. Can start with link, but unable to reform if it breaks if you have no LT.

So for this league I can do Nomads but I can switch from Generic to Sectoral but I have to stick to Nomads. Correct?

Technically I think you're supposed to stick either to vanilla or a sectorial.

Personally, I don't care. It's casual.

As long as you stay under your main armies umbrella.

It's stated in the first post and I added that merc companies are allowed.

I think it was 3 to 6. Good Job! At that point of an army I do recommend link teams but I don't recommend expensive ones. I should have gone with a moderator link team rather than riot grrls. One death was enough for me to loose that game.
