Our painting dilemma.

So one if the guys on the forum uses this to encourage painting


"Painting
In order to consider a model fully painted it must be fully based and have at least three distinct colours on it. Items must be distinguishable from each other. Ie hair, clothes, bags, weapons etc. In order to be considered based the ground that the model is standing on must be flocked/sanded/scenic base and painted. Fully painted models are worth the following points:
Model on a 25mm base: 1 Hobby Point
Model on a 40mm base: 2 Hobby Points
Model on a 55mm base: 3 Hobby Points
In order to claim the Hobby Point for a model at the end of the Slow Grow that model must have been used in at least one of your games. Each player that turns up to an Official Night with a fully painted force will receive +2 bonus Hobby Points."


I plan to modify this and use it for tourneys and such going forward. Your accumulated points will decide who wins the painting award at each tourney.

Of course I will allow clear bases instead of painted ones.

Interesting concept, and I like the separatation between tournament OP score and painting.

But what happens when you have a tie?

Honestly I'll burn that bridge when it happens, I'll probably split the prize.

Going forward first and second are going to be guaranteed prizes whatever third place used to get will go to the highest hobby points. This is of course depends on what we have for prize support that day.

if their looks like their is going to be a tie you can always do a best painted vote as well or if two armies are always fully painted seems like some one should not win just because they have more models in their army.

This scoring set up is about quantity over quality. What we can do is have player rank their opponents for three rounds 3 points for first 2 for second and 1 for least. Hopefully that'll break ties as people play different opponents.

So it would be points for total models painted plus points for what how each if your opponents ranks your work.
