Hey everyone, name's Will and I'm looking to get into Infinity. I was really big into 40k for several years, but the rising cost and long playtime has caused me to get out of the hobby. I'm looking at filling my hobby time with Infinity. After the new year I plan on picking up the Aleph starter and support boxes to get my foot in the door, but I'm curious as to where everyone plays and how you go about it. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Welcome aboard ! Quite a few, if not most of us are GW refugees.
I like, a couple of others here play all the armies. I suffer from from the must have "all the things" syndrome.

Welcome to Infinity! We tend to play all over the Chicagoland area. We just finished a tournament at Games & Things in Elmwood Park. (nice little store and the owner really has a customer-centric focus, which is cool.) We generally end up playing at Games Plus in Mt. Prospect more often than not, but have played in Leisure Hours in Joliet, Dice Dojo in Chicago, and even out at New Game in Town in Dekalb. (NIU)
I think one of the players (Krog) has a box of terrain at Draxtar in Batavia, but we don't run tournaments there.
We have not, to my knowledge, played at the Wandering Dragon in Plainfield yet. Amazing store, but they're more RPG/boardgame focused than hardcore miniatures.

Welcome to te game, Will! I'm new too, also from 40k. This is a great group of players. They're very fun & patient and they'll get you sorted out rules-wise, and clue you in to tricks specific to your army.
There are many options for place to play. I'm closer to the Wandering Dragon & Leisure Hours, but I could probably do Games & Things on weekdays after work.
