Squeee!!! www.beastsofwar.com/infinity/unboxing-operation-icestorm/Rules things I can glean just from the few things they mention in this video, alone (i.e. this doesn't include the rumors from the other thread except where a rumor is confirmed): - Lieutenant order is not just any order anymore, it is now unique and seems to automatically reveal who your lieutenant is if you use it (though this might not include if you use it to automatically pass a Guts roll on your turn or to set up a new Fireteam...).
- Silhouettes. It seems they're going to enforce the "cylinder rule", where every unit will have a new stat entry stating which Silhouette template to use behind the miniature for disputes of whether one unit can see the other.
- Circular Templates now have 10 directions instead of 8 that they can scatter, but remain the same size.
- The markers include Irregular Orders despite none of the profiles actually being Irregular, mostly confirming that LoL makes your units Irregular. Since there's an Akalis Sikh Commando on PanO's side, we'll also likely end up seeing how Religious plays out with this change to LoL immediately rather than having to wait for the full N3 release.
- Edit: Oh, and I guess the new Reverend Healer is a Doctor that can link with other Reverends in their sectorial *shrug* .
Aside from that, woooow, those models are bee-you-tee-full!!!

I dont think they are going with the cilinder still as the sillote had a man I on it I think that is what you will use if you can see part of the guy.
It does look cool though I look forward to it.

BoW plays Scenario 1 Things of note: - This might just be a simplification for Scenario 1 (since there's no Lt.), but it seems like it's automatically Win Initiative = Go first and set up first, not a choice between the two.
- I'm leaning more towards simplification since ITS scenarios could still be built around the idea of going second being useful, like Antennae Field or Quadrant Control where points get calculated at end of Game Turn instead of just End of Game.
- Either Carlos didn't correct PanO's guts movement on Turn 1, or you no longer are restricted from moving closer to the enemy if it'll provide you with increased cover.
- Probably a simplification from 2nd edition, but I could see it being either.
- It doesn't seem to be explained entirely whether the Silhouette templates are "Sight to any part of the template" or if you're required to see the actual silhouette of the template (the shadowy part in the shape of a mini). On the bottom of turn 2 (Nomad turn 2), it seems to be just sight to the template itself.
- Guts rolls explicitly are "move the full 2 inches" since they are compulsive movement.
- Possibly another simplification for the PanO player, but it seems climbing ladders (tho they were described as stairs by Carlos *shrug*), at least, isn't half movement.
- Explicitly said by Carlos: Climbing a surface without stairs/ladders no longer requires a roll, it just spends a Long Action to move up your full first movement.
- I think this is a very welcome change. It'll help make the game much more vertical, though because it's a Long Skill, I could see people still not using it too often *shrug*.
- Also explicitly said by Carlos (which is just confirming a rumor): Dodge in N3 will always be 2" instead of "half the first move". Kinematika increases the dodge move by 1" per level of Kinematika.
Really looking forward to the "advanced mission" later this week, but this episode still brought some fairly interesting info, IMO.

Orc and Knight be bulky.
Strong winds might be a problem.

Not going to do an overview of the intro to PanO fluff video from this morning, but here's the recent Designing Infinity Operation: Icestorm video going over concept art and design decisions for their selections: www.beastsofwar.com/infinity/designing-operation-icestorm/I'll just go over the rules/profile things that popped out to me like I've been doing, watch the vid for the overall design decisions. - Mobile Brigada possibly will gain a Combi Rifle loadout of some sort in addition to its current options (HMG, Multi Rifle + LFT, B.Shotgun).
- Orc also likely to gain a Combi loadout of some sort in addition to its current options (Multi Rifle, HMG, B.Shotgun).
- Akalis Sikh Commandos likely to be swapping HMGs for Spitfires. Combi and B.Shotgun options remain, at least.
- Grenzer loadouts to include Multi Sniper, Combi + LFt, Spitfire, and B.Shotgun.
- Father Knight loadouts to include Spitfire, Combi, and B.Shotgun. Possibly scattered among them would also include a Breaker Pistol (new, I think) and a DA CCW.
- Reverend Healer loadouts to include Combi, B.Shotgun, and Multi Rifle, as well as an EXP CCW.
- Spektr looks to be gaining a B.Shotgun loadout while retaining its current ones (unless a lot of the old Combi+L.Shotgun loadouts are being scrapped for just combi rifles, in which case those instances seem to be dropping the L.Shotgun)
Aaaaaand done!

I looked at the images for those too. I think most of the time they have have shown to have what's in the art.

Just watched the camo vid. Yes combat camo is a FTF @-3 max modifier is +/- 12
Direct templates still auto hit
Lesson to be learned. Don't get within template range and attempt to combat camo attack.

Unless it's from behind.
I put a question up on the youtube. What's your thoughts?
Edit: I'm wondering if this will apply to Impersonators as well! It would make sense but of course they would not gain the benefits of camo negatives.
Edit again: OMG the spetnatz sniper is going to be amazing with that marksman L2! Not only is he going to be going to be at minimum -9 to be shot at with a surprise but the defender will get no partial cover bonus for the shot (He gets if for ARM), but he’s going to also be at +3 for range on most of the board!

Hm right Marksman exists. That is going to make things interesting.
I would say Lasiq's should have that as they are fracking snipers but they're already heavy ish in toys.

That's definitely a new variable in the game. Like the change. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

Pretty much two things learned for me, confirming one rumor (Combat Camo FtF -3) and debunking another (there was a random rumor suggesting that DTWs would be rolled-for, possibly with massive pluses; thankfully, this massive buff to blurring effects like Camo & ODD is not coming to pass [as much as I use camo more than DTWs ]).
