We should check the schedule and see if there is anything going on on the 7th. If not, we should make sure we signed up for a table.

Sounds good. I'll call Plus to check and post back soon. If this day works I'll try to get out to get there and put a flyer on the game-room door as well.

It is tight on the 7th, but I called and signed out a big table for an Infinity Meet-up to guarantee we get a space. I am typically out before open so should be able to change us over to 1-2 of the first-come-first-served tables instead. If someone can e-mail me a copy of group logo I will get a flyer together and on the game room door tomorrow afternoon.

Hi, My name is Rick, I live in Waukegan, work in Deerfield. I played Infinity several years ago, and then got out for a while, but have been feeling to bug to play again, so I went to the event at GP yesterday and got in a couple of games with the new (to me) rules. Thanks to Brian and Zach for the games. Even got in an escalation game in (which I won, thanks to my Hacker.) I play Nomads, BTW.

Got in 3 games myself, 2 smaller games (versus PanO then Nomads), and a larger one versus Nomads. -PanO had some hot saving dice. I remember him saving 4 shots above a 13, then 2, and I think 3 at one point. I just could not touch him hard enough to win. -1st against Rick's Nomads was an Escalation style at only 120 points, but we decided on playing Quadrant Control anyway for the heck of it. Having already set my force to flood the field with Kamael, Makaul, and a Sakiel, I ended up being able to overwhelm on dice and field position. -2nd game we did was a 250 point game of Seize the Antenna. This meant I had to pick and choose a little, so in the end just ended up adding in a few better quality troopers. I took a single GaoRael to deal with any ODD, Keshan with K1 in case of TAG, a Sakiel with viral for any heavies, 2 TO minelayers for an attempt at board control, and a Kumotail for objectives. This left the majority of fill in the list as Makaul and Kamael.
Long story short with 4 camo markers along the centerline and initiative in the first turn I moved the bulk of my forces toward the center of the field and took up position around a ruined bunker. From there I spent a few turns preventing Rick’s clockmaker from moving up to sync the middle antenna while trying to remove a Moria from a third floor sniper position just inside Rick’s deployment zone. Highlights for turn 1-2 included a semi-successfulimpetuous Makaul flamethrower run followed by TO ambush fire to stop his left flanking fireteam. But turn 1-2 also saw me steadily losing troops on the right flank to a lucky Lizard that out-critted me twice, 2 times rolling crits on a 14 when I rolled a crit on 12. Last turn for me was the most effective as I got the rolls to deploy zero-v smoke, then moved and synced 2 antennas with the Kumotail, and with my last order regenerating Keshan to set up a nicely staggered gun line as the smoke cleared. This left Rick to go on the offensive in the final phase, and he started by clearing a few of my guys with camo ambush fire, before attempting to clean up therest of of my center with his TAG. A little luck on my part saw the Kumotail hold out an extra turn, which left him with enough orders left to make a final straight run at the central antenna with his clockmaker. In response I missed my ARO against his first run-run order. But then my luck changed, and on his second run-run order Keshan shot him just as he reached the antenna and he missed his save. Game was over, but we did did the sync roll of his last order for the hell of it, with the result that if I had not made that shot or he had made the armor save, he would have won on the last roll of the game.

Hello all, my name is Red. I am from Champaign and starting Infinity in the area. Looking forward to coming up to a tourney or two in the Chicagoland area. Currently I play Tohaa but I am starting to pick up a small nomad force while I get some demo material together.
Thanks, Red
